Klap and Unified both take a long recording and cut it into short-form clips with captions. The difference shows up in how usage is capped, whether the written social copy comes with it, and what you get as you move up in price.
Pricing model — two caps vs one
Klap's plans are Starter ($29/mo, or ~$23/mo billed annually), Pro ($79/mo, ~$63/mo annually), and Pro+ ($189/mo, ~$151/mo annually). Each plan caps both the number of videos you can upload per month (10 / 30 / 100) and the number of clips it will generate from them (100 / 300 / 1,000) — so a single dense episode can burn through your clip allotment before you run out of uploads, or vice versa. Video length caps also scale by plan: 45 minutes on Starter, 2 hours on Pro, 3 hours on Pro+.
Unified's plans (Starter $30/mo, Pro $75/mo, Studio $150/mo) count one number: videos per month (5 / 15 / 45), each with its own length cap (45 / 90 / 180 minutes). There's no separate clip-output ceiling to track alongside it — every clip Unified's scoring finds in an approved video gets rendered.
Where Klap has the edge
Klap's Pro and Pro+ tiers include AI dubbing into 29 languages — a real, useful capability if you're repurposing content for international audiences and Unified doesn't offer an equivalent. Pro+ also supports a higher raw throughput ceiling (1,000 clips/month) for teams publishing at very high volume, plus 4K export and batch processing on its higher tiers.
Captions, brand kit, and text pack
Klap includes caption styling and a brand kit across its paid tiers, alongside batch processing on Pro and above. What it doesn't do is generate written social copy — you still draft your own LinkedIn posts, newsletter blurb, and tweets from what the clips are about.
Unified generates burned-in captions, a brand kit (logo, caption color, font — full custom fonts/logo placement/caption styling on Pro and Studio), and a full text pack (LinkedIn posts, newsletter blurb, tweet-length quotes) from the same transcript analysis that finds the clips, in the same pass, on every plan including Starter.

Who should choose which
If you need multi-language dubbed clips at high volume and you're comfortable writing your own captions copy separately, Klap's Pro or Pro+ is a reasonable fit. If you want the clips, captions, brand styling, and the social copy done in one upload — without tracking two separate usage meters — that's what Unified is built for.
